For us, like many visitors to Bali, it was love at first sight. We were two friends traveling, and we were fascinated by the island’s rich art and culture. During a study abroad program there, the idea for amerii really began to take shape. We had discovered the traditional craft of Balinese weaving, we knew we wanted to share the artisans’ stunning work with the world.
We began working with rattan and ata grass weavers in Bali to support their communities economically and to help keep their craft alive. By bringing these bags directly to you, we’re able to ensure equitable prices for our customers and employees. When you purchase an amerii bag, you’re getting a beautiful work of art and helping the local weavers earn a fair wage.
We love a good trend as much as the next gal, but we’re even more excited about one that’s here to stay. At amerii, our handmade rattan, leather, and ata grass bags are crafted to last.
